Boone Next is a community process to create the new comprehensive plan for the Town of Boone. The public workshop is a chance for all who call Boone home to come together to learn about the comprehensive plan process and provide ideas on how to make Boone an even better place in the future. There will be refreshments and a children’s station.

The Town of Boone is partnering with members of the community to assist in providing Spanish translation for the public workshop. The event will include activities that are also translated in Spanish. Our goal is to is to accommodate all our community members who would like to participate!
Alternative Transportation Options for the Public Workshop on January 18:
AppalCART provides free public transportation within the Town of Boone, and two bus routes will be stopping near the event location, with the New Market bus stop serviced by the Green and Orange routes. Additionally, if you have accessibility issues or disabilities that limit you from using the AppalCART bus routes, AppalCART provides a Paratransit Service. AppalCART’s paratransit vans have ADA features that provide increased accessibility for passengers. Paratransit services are fare-free and available to those within 3/4 of a mile of a bus route. If you are within the paratransit service area, you can request Paratransit services to be able to attend the January 18 Workshop event. For the January 18 Workshop event, you do not have to apply for the paratransit eligibility process.
